I registered to this forum to warn others. I also received an email from a Dennis Shore who pretended to need a translator for an assignment. He sent the following email:

I started the text and I noticed that the text to translate was fishy, meaning that it was copied from other sources from the internet and was sometimes incoherent. Moreover, Dennis Shore wanted to know information like my daily limit from my bank. He decided to send to me double the amount agreed without checking with me if it was correct because he wanted me to do another assignment in that project. He sent me the exact same email that was sent to another member of this forum (about the death in the family of his sponsor, etc.). I called him out and he disappeared.
Thank you so much to this member who reported this Dennis shore!
I wish I could do more to warn others, but it's a good reminder to be careful with these so-called "clients".

I received an email with the same subject title using [email protected] directory email. This was from Flickinger Elizabeth [email protected]. Though I informed that I am on vacation for few more days I received an another email with the document to translate without confirming the rates so it created some doubts. It says scam on Google search too.

I got exactly the same message with the exact same attachment (LUKSO Organization Creative Research Phase 1) from Mercedes Waldrop (who seems to be a registered translator here, but no other details could be found anywhere) asking for a translation from English into Catalan.
Happy that my scammer radar put me on alert after the first email. And relieved to have found this thread to confirm my suspicions after the second email.

I just got a mail requesting English to Japanese translation. The file attached is "LUKSO Organization Creative Research Phase 1"
After a few exchange, she asked me about:
1. Full Name to be written on the Check
2. Full Physical Address:
3. Mobile number
Then I came up to this forum and decided to ignore her.

I received the same scam today, same text, same word count (11,638 as opposed to 11,668 in their document). The request was to translate the whole thing into Russian. The first 3K words seemed to be plagiarized from a South African NGO website, so I kept looking and found this chat. I am not mentioning any names because the scammers may pose as some nice legitimate people.
