The Women’s Swimming Sessions are open to all women over 16 years of age.
Every effort will be made by Freedom Leisure to provide female lifeguards for this session, however in the unlikely event that this is not possible you will be informed at reception prior to paying for your swim.
The pool will closed to the general public 30 minutes before the ladies only session starts, please be advised that some customers may still be getting changed when you enter the changing room. Freedom Leisure will try to ensure that the changing rooms are clear of all customers 10 minutes before your session begins.
In the unlikely event of an emergency evacuation, please follow staff instruction and direction. You will not be able to return to your locker at this time but will be issued with a foil blanket when exiting the building if full evacuation is necessary. You will be allowed to return to the pool or your locker as soon as it is safe to do so.
All steps have been taken to secure the privacy of swimmers during the ladies only session, however, if you would like us to consider further me asures please speak to reception or write to the Centre Manager.
Pool Rules
More modest swimwear is permitted; please ask for details of appropriate fabrics. Please shower prior to entering the pool wearing your costume.
The main pool varies in depth from 1.0m – 2.3m. Please stay within a safe depth if you are a weak or non swimmer.
Diving is only permitted from the deep end of the pool.
Swimmers with buoyancy devices are not permitted past the middle of the pool.
Running is not permitted along the poolside or in the changing rooms.
Please listen and obey all lifeguard instructions as they are only there for customer safety.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons are available during the ladies only session. If you would like further information or would like to book please contact reception. Lessons will be held in English with visual demonstrations to support the teaching.
