स्रोत पाठ - अंग्रेजी An accused has the fundamental rights determined in Section 602 of this Law in a court of first instance, as well as the following rights:
1) to find out the place and time of the trial in a timely manner;
2) to participate in person in the adjudication of the criminal case;
3) to submit a recusation;
4) to request that a defence counsel be replaced, if the obstacles to his or her participation determined in the Law exist;
5) to agree to the non-performance of an examination of evidence in a court session;
6) to express his or her opinion regarding each matter to be discussed, if it applies to his or her prosecution or personal characterising data;
7) to participate in examination of each piece of evidence, performed directly and orally, if the evidence applies to his or her prosecution or personal characterising data;
8) to submit to the court a substantiated request to express his or her opinion and participate in the examination of evidence also in cases if the matter or evidence to be examined does not directly apply to his or her prosecution or personal characterising data;
9) to submit requests;
10) to speak in court debates, if the defence counsel does not participate;
11) to say the last word;
12) to receive a copy of a court adjudication and familiarise himself or herself with the minutes of a court session, as well as to submit notes thereon in writing, which shall be attached to the materials of the criminal case;
13) to appeal a court adjudication in accordance with the procedures laid down in the law.
अनुवाद - हिंदी एक आरोपी के, प्रथम अवस्था अदालत में इस कानून की धारा 602 में निश्चित मौलिक अधिकारों के साथ साथ, निम्नलिखित अधिकार हैं:
1) समयांतर्गत मुकदमे के लिये स्थान और समय का पता लगाना;
2) आपराधिक मामले के अधिनिर्णय में व्यक्तिगत रूप से भाग लेना;
3) प्रार्थना-पत्र प्रस्तुत करना:
4) यह अनुरोध करना कि बचाव पक्ष के वकील को बदला जाये, यदि कानून में निर्धारित उसकी भागीदारी में कहीं कोई व्यवधान है;
5) अदालत सत्र में साक्ष्य के परीक्षण के गैर-प्रदर्शन पर सहमत होना;
6) विचार-विमर्श किये जाने वाले प्रत्येक मामले के बारे में अपनी राय व्यक्त करना, यदि यह उसके अभियोग अथवा उसके व्यक्तिगत चरित्र-चित्रण की जानकारी पर लागू होता है;
7) सीधे अथवा मौखिक रूप से निष्पादित प्रत्येक साक्ष्य के परीक्षण में भाग लेना, यदि साक्ष्य उसके अभियोग अथवा उसके व्यक्तिगत चरित्र-चित्रण की जानकारी पर लागू होता है;
8) अपनी राय व्यक्त करने तथा साक्ष्य के परीक्षण में भी भाग लेने के लिये अदालत को प्रमाणित अनुरोध प्रस्तुत करना, यदि जिस मामले अथवा साक्ष्य का परीक्षण किया जाना है, वह उनके अभियोग पर अथवा चरित्र-चित्रण पर सीधे तौर पर लागू नहीं होता है;
9) अनुरोध प्रस्तुत करना;
10) यदि बचाव पक्ष का वकील भाग नहीं लेता है तो अदालत की बहस में बोलना;
11) अंतिम बात कहना;
12) अदालत के अधिनिर्णय की प्रति प्राप्त करना और अदालत सत्र के कार्यवृत्त से स्वयं को अवगत कराना, साथ ही उस पर लिखित टिप्पणी प्रस्तुत करना, जिसे आपराधिक मामले की सामग्री के साथ संलग्न किया जाएगा
13) कानून में निर्धारित प्रक्रियाओं के अनुसार अदालत अधिनिर्णय से अपील करना।
