Jahresabschluss zum 30.9.2007 und Lagebericht
1. Pruefungsauftrag
In der Gesellschafterversammlung am 27. Maerz 2007 der
RUETGERS Chemicals GmbH, Castrop-Rauxel,
- im folgenden auch kurz “RC” oder “Gesellschaft” genannt -
sind wir zum Abschlusspruefer fuer das Rumpfgescaeftsjahr vom 1. Januar 2007 bis zum 30. September 2007 gewaehlt worden. Der Aufsichtsrat hat uns demzufolge den Auftrag erteilt, den Jahresabschluss zum 30. September 2007 unter Einbeziehung der Buchfuehrung und den Lagebericht zu pruefen.
Im Rahmen der Pruefung des Jahresabschlusses wurden wir aufgefordert, weitergehende, gesetztlich nicht geforderte Aufgliederungen und Erlaeuterungen zu einzelnen Posten des Jahresabschlusses abzugeben. Wir haben diese ergaenzenden Aufgliederungen und Erlaueterungen in den Anlagen 7-12 dieses Pruefungsberichts dargestellt.
Ergaenzend wurden wir damit beauftragt, in diesen Pruefungsbericht eine betriebswirtschaftliche Analyse der Vermoegens-, Finanz- und Ertragslage der Geselllschaft aufzunehmen. Diese Analyse haben wir im Abschnitt 6 dieses Berichts dargestellt.
Dieser Pruefungsbericht wurde nach den Grundsaetzen des IDW Pruefungsstandards 450 erstellt.
Dem Auftrag liegen die als Anlage 13 beigefuegten "Allgemeine Auftragsbedingungen fuer Wirtschaftspruefer und Wirtschaftspruefungsgesellschaten in der Fassung vom 1. Januar 2002 zu grunde. Die Hoehe unserer Haftung bestimmt sich nach § 323 Abs. 2 HGB. Im Verhaeltnis zu Dritten sind Nr. 1 Abs. 2 and Nr. 9 der Allgemeinen Auftragsbedingungen massgebend.

1. Audit Order

held on 27 March 2007, we were selected as auditors for the shortened financial year from 1 January to 30 September 2007. As a result, the Supervisory Board awarded us the contract to audit the annual statement of accounts as of 30 September 2007 including the book-keeping and the review of the situation.
Within the framework of the audit of the annual statement of accounts, we were requested to give continuative, non-statutory itemisations and explanations of the individual postings of the annual statement of accounts. We have presented these continuative itemisations and explanations in Enclosures 7-12 of this audit report.
Additionally, we were assigned the task of adopting a business management analysis of the assets, financial and earnings situation of the company in this audit report. We have presented this analysis in Section 6 of this report.
This audit report was prepared according to the principles of auditing standard 450 determined by IDW (Institute of German Auditors).
The order is based on the General Terms and Conditions for Auditors and Audit Companies in the version from 1 January 2002, attached as Enclosure 13. The highest sum of liability is determined according to § 323 Para 2 HGB. In third-party relationships, No. 1 Para. 2 and No. 9 of the General Terms and Conditions shall be authoritative.

Ein Bernoulli-Laufwerk ist ein spezielles Diskettenlaufwerk, das wegen seiner besonderen Datensicherheit für raue Betriebsumgebung geeignet ist und dank seiner hohen Speicherkapazität als Ersatz für ein Festplattenlaufwerk dienen kann. In Bernoulli-Laufwerken kommen nicht lose Disketten, sondern auswechselbare Disk-Kassetten zum Einsatz.
Bernoulli-Prinzip
Ein Bernoulli-Laufwerk macht sich die schon im 18.Jahrhundert von dem Physiker Daniel Bernoulli erforschte Tatsache zunutze, dass bei der Rotation eines Körpers die Luftmoleküle an seiner Oberfläche beschleunigt und nach außen geschleudert werden, so dass über der Körperoberfläche ein Unterdruck entsteht.
In einem Bernoulli-Laufwerk hängt die flexible Diskette zentrisch fixiert an einer Antriebsachse. Über der Diskette befindet sich eine starre Scheibe, die sog. Bernoulli-Platte.
Wenn sich der Antriebsmotor in Bewegung setzt und die Diskette auf 2000 Umdrehungen pro Minute beschleunigt, bewirkt der entstehende Unterdruck, dass die Diskette bis auf ca. 0,125 mm an die Platte herangedrückt wird. Einen weiteren Andruck verhindert die nachströmende Luft. Der Unterdruck sowie die hohe Rotationsgeschwindigkeit führen zu einer sehr stabilen Lage der Diskette.
In diesem Zustand bewirken Stöße oder auch Fremdkörper zwischen Diskette und Platte sofort einen Wirbel im Luftpolster, der stets dazu führt, dass die Diskette von der Platte und damit vom Magnetkopf weggedrückt wird. Fremdkörper reißt der Luftstrom fort. Es kann also nicht zu dem bei Festplattenlaufwerken so gefürchteten Head Crash kommen.
Parkspur
Ein Bernoulli-Laufwerk benötigt auch keine Parkspur zur Kopfsicherung im Ruhezustand, denn sobald sich die Rotationsgeschwindigkeit verringert, zieht das Eigengewicht die Diskette nach unten und damit aus der Reichweite des Kopfes.

A Bernoulli drive is a special disk drive which is suitable for raw operating environments due to its special data protection and can serve as a substitute for a hard disk drive thanks to its higher storage capacity. In Bernoulli drives, removable disk cartridges are used instead of floppy disks.
The Bernoulli Principle
A Bernoulli drive makes use of the established principle, discovered by the physicist Daniel Bernoulli way back in the 18th century, that the rotation of a physical body accelerates the air molecules next to its surface and flings them outwards from the centre, thereby creating underpressure next to the surface of the physical body.
In a Bernoulli drive, the flexible disk is attached to the hub of a drive axis. There is a rigid plate, the so-called Bernoulli plate, above the drive.
When the drive motor starts rotating and the disk is accelerated up to 2000 rpm, the underpressure created thereby pulls the disk up to approx. 0.125 mm towards the plate. Further pressure is prevented by the wake flow. The underpressure together with the high rotation speed result in high stability of the disk.
In this state, any jolt or ingress of foreign bodies between the disk and the plate immediately creates an eddy current in the air bearing. This always results in the disk falling away from the plate and thereby from the magnetic head. Foreign bodies are swept away by the airflow. This makes a head crash, the dreaded risk in hard disk drives, practically impossible.
Parking Track
A Bernoulli drive does not need any parking track for parking the head in idle position. This is because as soon as the rotation speed decreases, the disk is pulled downward by its own weight, taking it away from the reach of the head.

So warfen etwa die mysteriösen Linien in den Farbspektren von leuchtenden Gasen (Spektrallinien) Fragen auf, genauso wie die spektrale Verteilung des von heißen Körpern abgestrahlten Lichts (Schwarzkörperstrahlung). Der fotoelektrische Effekt, bei dem intensive Lichtstrahlung eine metallene, elektrisch geladene Oberfläche entlädt, blieb ebenfalls unklar. Zudem entdeckte man neue rätselhafte Strahlungsarten.
Erneut stellte sich also die Frage: Was ist Strahlung?
Schönes Leuchten
Farbenfrohe Leuchterscheinungen in evakuierten Glasröhren waren seit Langem bekannt. Für eine detaillierte Untersuchung der physikalischen Vorgänge in der Röhre fehlten allerdings bis Mitte des 19. Jh. die geeigneten Instrumente.
Der Glasbläser Heinrich Geißler erfand mit der Quecksilber-Luftpumpe eine stark verbesserte Vakuumpumpe. Mit ihr erreichte man ein viel höheres Vakuum in der Glasröhre, bevor man sie mit Gas füllte. Dank dieser Erfindung konnte man nun elektrische Entladungen in hochverdünnten Gasen untersuchen. Für die Entladungsexperimente war zudem Hochspannung nötig. Dies wurde mit der Entwicklung von Funkeninduktoren möglich, die hohe, recht stabile Wechselspannung erzeugen.

Luminescence
Fluorescence of certain substances in evacuated glass tubes had been known for hundreds of years. However, the appropriate instruments for a detailed analysis of the physical occurrences in the tubes were lacking until mid-19th century.
The glass blower Heinrich Geissler improved upon earlier versions of the vacuum pump by developing the mercury piston vacuum pump. This pump was capable of reaching much higher vacuums in the glass tubes prior to filling them with gas. Thanks to this invention, one could now analyse electric discharges in rarefied gases. High voltage was also required for the electric discharge experiments. This became possible with the development of spark coils which generate high, fairly stable alternating voltage.
