A quiet summer pow-wow at the lovely Canal House in Nottingham was enjoyed by all the listed attendees, plus Andrew's charming wife Margaret and a taxi-driver-come-translator by the name of Jan. We had a few less established translators in the group, so we had a great exchange of tips and ideas about how to get started, as well as the usual discussions of CAT tools, agencies, and our experiences with languages and the industry.
A great day! I hope others will take on the task of arranging pow-wows once I have left...!

NOTE TO ALL: sorry if you have been getting multiple emails with my comment! Apparently there is a bug - ProZ staff say you cannot use apostrophes in comments!! A major glitch, but they are working on it
Hi all. Really enjoyed the powwow on Saturday. Lots of interesting translation topics to talk about. Translators are such fascinating people!

It was great to be invited and amazing to know that there others in the same position! As a first powwow it was a brilliant introduction for me...definitely going to be attending more after this!

Thank you to Rose for organising this Powwow. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it is so nice to find other translators think and feel the same way as I do, and to help some aspiring translators with advice too.
