Pablo Mugüerza is a Spanish Medical Translator with more than 25 years of experience in his field. Since receiving his medical degree from Madrid’s Universidad Complutense in 1987, he has worked extensively as both an in-house and freelance medical translator. Although he translates a broad range of medical texts, he is considered a major worldwide authority on clinical trial protocol translation, a specialty on which he has written a handbook and has given lectures and seminars in cities in Spain and around the world (this past year in Argentina, and at the ATA’s 53rd Annual Conference in San Diego, California). During 2013 he will be lecturing about his speciality online, carrying out research and analysis on the medical translation profession, speaking at a number of major events and, of course, translating medical texts into Spanish, since it is his belief that no one can teach medical translation if he or she is not an active medical translator. Pablo Mugüerza is very active on Twitter (@pabletepucela) and on Facebook with regard to medical translation, clinical trials, and opera.
