The general feeling I get from this thread is that it is hard to find a satisfying translator job, while PM is relatively easier. The same is true in China. Based on my experiences, the only worthwhile full-time translator positions are with high-end employers, investment banks, international law firms and consulting companies. But it seems that being a PM in a translation agency is just nightmarish...
