Great features, but not working on web versions for very large document
Review by
Chié_JP . Asked to use web version from agency and afterwards I realized I could use download xliff version on my own desktop instead of web, and this has just helped greatly and solved most of the problems related to tags.
Formerly working on Web (NOT DESKTOP -desktop download worked much more smoothly than web) and client sent the wrong document that are too long (the error must be largely due to the fact client chose too large document, I suppose the CAT itself is not that quirky), you could not necessarily copy source tag straight away. You need to find hidden option (hit the same button twice) or secret tips not in manual in order to copy tags or line break (probably due to memory shortage after a long hours of working of memory-consuming browser.)
For the web version (not desktop) I am surprised it did not have pagenation and you always need to scroll to the end and back on your own in order to navigate within the document.
Basically in that situation, none of the web features worked as expected (button never respond on time, it will take more than 5 minutes until you get it right for one button operation, although their idea and feature is supposed to have been excellent. MT quality is acceptable and excels other common MT engine.

Absolutely Outstanding

Justin Peterson . I've been using MateCat for YEARS, and am consistently amazed by its results - and that it is not more widely used. As a PM, my translators regularly gripe about industry-leading, expensive, clunky and complex CATs, and are pleasantly surprised when I tip them off to MateCat: light, easy-to-learn, amazing MT ... and free!
In terms of userfriendliness, it's like a Mac compared to a PC in 1990. Just blows the others away. And tech support is fast and friendly!

Excellent free tool

Iulia Parvu . I use it mostly for document formatting, as I like to give a human approach to my translations. The way it recreates the format of the source file (from many, many file types) is amazing. I highly recommend it as it makes our job easier.
