How easy is it to learn?

Great new features with each new build
Review by
Selcuk Akyuz Just in a few words, it is different. CafeTran's developer is not only a programmer but he is a translator as well, that is why he adds all those unique features helping translators. One pays EUR 225 only to upgrade from SDL Trados Studio 2009 Freelance to 2011 version but you can buy CafeTran at only EUR 80. Amazing! Just read the features at http://cafetran.wikidot.com/

How easy is it to learn?

Excellent and userfriendly
Review by
Wim Jonckheere . In september 2012 I purchased CafeTran (only 80€) and I never regretted this investment one minute. After "struggling" with Trados Freelance, trying Wordfast Anywhere (quite good), some projects with SDL Studio 2011 and an online project with Across, I must say honestly that CafeTran is head and shoulders above all these previous mentioned CAT tools. The best about it is a very nice simple, non distracting overview, your workspace. The basics are very fast to learn and it handles all possible formats you could need. Support is personal and fast. Thank you CafeTran!

How easy is it to learn?

Head and shoulders above the rest
Review by
Michael Beijer . No time to write a proper, in-depth review, but let me just say that I have probably installed and experimented with every CAT tool under the sun, and CafeTran is simply the best. It's extremely light, fast and reliable, and has more useful features (useful to TRANSLATORS, not project managers!) than any other CAT tool out there. It doesn't crash, and you never lose your work, ever.

Equally important is the fact that there is a very active user community, and the developer is fully present and interested in user feedback and ideas for future development. Things flow both ways in CT: top-down, but also bottom-up. Many tools used to be similar, but grew into corporate monsters. CafeTran still has the magic.

How easy is it to learn?

Great tool and you can't beat the price.
Review by
Kamonchanok Kulpanyalert . CafeTran is different and the best. It is full of very useful features, comes with friendly UI, can run effortlessly in an old PC, like mine, and has the best developer ever. I am not kind of a tech person but CafeTran is not that hard to learn. You may need to read the wikidot, like me, to know what CT can do, and you will be surprised. Igor is very helpful and fast and that's one of many factors why I choose CT. And don't forget its price! I've tried memoQ, Fluency, Wordfast Anywhere and OmegaT. They miss something I want. But CT just beat them all. Although recently Igor has just announced the increased price, I still think the price is really reasonable comparing to other CAT tools out there (except omegat, of course, because it's free). To be honest, I can say that you won't be disappointed.

EASY TO LEARN, FAST & STABLE
Review by
Laura Barzan . I bought CafeTrans 1 year ago and I never regretted it. Just 70€, easy to learn, user friendly, fast, stable and most of all available for MAC! It's really the best!
