I am using Wordfast Pro 3.3.0. I am subscribed to Google translate. I have used it many times. But today when I have tried to use it I have got this message: "Error while parsing response". How can I solve this issue? Thank you in advance for your help. Regards, AT

No problem with WFP 3.4.2 Dec 19, 2014

All three supported MT engines work just fine in WFP 3.4.2 (current version) for me:

Communication with supported MT engines is pretty much hard-coded, so there isn't anything you can do in WFP to fix your problem. Its causes are most likely outside WFP anyway: problem with billing in your Google account, with your firewall, your internet connection etc.

Have you tried using Google Translate in another tool, eg. Wordfast Anywhere, OmegaT, MemSource (to mention a few you can use for free)?

You may well wonder about that, but that wasn't the question being asked.

Oh, I am fully aware of the actual question. Just surprised that anybody would use that. But each to his/her own.

Another MT? Dec 24, 2014

Thank you, Dominique for your assistance. I tried to install Wordfast 3.4.2 last November, but got the same message that in May:
"Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.

Can you suggest another paid Machine Translation compatible with WFPro 3.3.0?
Best regards, AT

Your download was not complete, as witnessed by the size of the installer on your system: about 91 MB (should be about 164 MB).

There are three supported machine translation services in Wordfast Pro: 1) Google Translate, 2) Microsoft Translator, 3) WorldLingo. All three work just fine, as long as you have a working version of Wordfast Pro and valid credentials (for Google and Microsoft).

At the risk of repeating myself: you need to re-download the installer until you get the full installer (check its exact size, if you are not sure).

If you are not able to get the full installer with your standard browser, use Free Download Manager or equivalent. With Free Download Manager, be sure not to install the software bundled with it: only install Free Download Manager (safe to use) and nothing else.

New message from Google Translate Dec 26, 2014

Thank you, Dominique, for your assistance. I have managed to install Wordfast Pro 3.4.2.
Now, when I try to use Google Translate, I receive the following message:
"Server returned http code 403 daily limit exceeded Please check if Api key is valid. Google Machine Translation will be disabled."
I tried two different days.
In the Menu Edit >Preferences> Machine Translation> Google Translate, when I tick Enable Google Translator, and then press Test, it appears the message:

I would first check the billing status of the Google project connected to your use of Google Translate: it must be "enabled". That you have paid past bills is not relevant (it only proves you had a valid payment mode on the due date). What matters is the current status of the payment method (normally, a credit card). You can check it in the Google Console for your account.
