How to modify a Visio chart in Word 2000

I'm translating a file that has several objects in Visio format. Does anybody know of a way (software, etc.) of modifying the chart without having Visio.

AFAIK you will need Visio Feb 5, 2006

to edit embedded Visio objects.

I tried to buy a newer version recently and apparently you can only do so in a real shop. (Anybody know where you can buy it on the web: i.e. by downloading it?)

If you do not have Visio, you can always supply your customer with a separate file with a table giving the source language and translation.

There is a danger it may fall apart after editing it this way.

I give a shortcut to download a demo version of Visio (185 MB), if it's worth the trouble.

just seen this - I've had this problem too, and have found a temporary solution in downloading a trial version of Visio. This is only good for this job, though, as the trial expires after 30 days. If there is more work for this client I might consider buying the whole product.
