I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to process a .vsd file with Studio 2011 without having to copy and paste into Word. I saw the app on the openexchange, but that only seems to be working for .vdx files.
Any help anyone could provide would be great.
Thank you!

The nice (and free) little Visio File (.vsd) contains commands for extracting text from your vsd to/inserting back from Excel or Word. Then you can use your favorite CAT tool.

Save as .vdx?
Oct 3, 2013
Not sure about Trados 2011, but Trados 2007 Tageditor has a filter for the XML-based alternative Visio format, .vdx - all you need to do is open .vsd in Visio and re-save it as .vdx.
