Hello colleagues,

I have Word 2010. When viewing files, the table of contents, page numbers, Table/figure numbers look like this:

{TOC \0 "1-3" \H \Z \U}

{PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT}

Figure {SEQ Figure \* ARABIC}

How do I expand these codes so that I can view the actual table of contents, page numbers and table/figure numbers?

Hi Marcus Aug 31, 2012

Press Shift+F9 to toggle the visibility of field codes. On some machines Alt+F9 works as well.

HTH,
Natalia
