Sorry, big misunderstanding here. I was talking about your hidden/removed posts.

I'm pretty sure that PMs also look after the profile photo here on proz, to see, whether they find their prospective candidate for collaboration attractive / pleasant or not. This is a psychological matter (attractivity is unwittingly associated with assertiveness, competence, and other as positive considered properties). | | | Would you (or any other) ... | Jul 8, 2021 |

Mervyn, wherever you are, we are 'Here for You': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8PPap4dJog Regarding our colleague, Sheila, although I have not had much contact with her, I have read some of her very positive advice and comments. Obviously in this phrase ("If you have money and good looks") I was talking in general. Translators don't have money. If they had money, they'd have no reason whatsoever to be in this business or in any other "hand-to-mouth in isolation without any benefits" business.
I’m throwing a party next week and I’m looking someone to be the life and soul. My translation career is going pretty well, against all the odds, so it’ll be real champagne.

If I remember rightly, she mentioned in a post near the end of last year that she was about to retire, so that might explain it. I too hope we'll hear from her again, her advice is so outstandingly good that she really ought to charge for it, and have her very own agony aunt column ("Ask Sheila")! And on the subject of long absences, I haven't seen anything of Dan L for a while. I hope he'll be back too. | | | And not to forget ... | Jul 14, 2021 |
