If you need a remote server to test your projects or specific apps, it is now possible to use for a machine you can create on Microsoft Azure for free.
Once your account is Setup, go to the free services and create a remote machine. You will get a selection of Operating Systems. Most of them do not have a GUI (i.e. WS 2016), so if you want the GUI, choose Windows server 2012. Linux and others are also available.

If you’ve done everything correctly, you will get the Start button and will be able to download your apps with Internet Explorer (wow, the best browser ever…hum…).
Off-course if you want the paid stuff, you can create the machine you want and pay by the hour, month etc. there’s a calculator to help you find the cheapest options.
If you stick to the free server, you should be able to run small useful utilities like WfServer, WfConverter, Okapi tools etc. Don’t go after RAM hungry modern apps, they won’t be happy!
Hope this will help someone!

Might be good for Syncthing Oct 5, 2021

Perhaps you can use this to run Syncthing in lieu of Dropbox/OneDrive.

Good idea! Yes, it should work on the free machines if Syncthing can run well with a small amount of RAM. Never tried it.
