I need to know how many segments there are in a TMX. Which free program could I use ? Are there any suggestions ? Tha.

You can open TMX files in CafeTran Espresso 2018 in Edit Mode (choose this mode via the black button with the white lines from the Dashboard).

For this purpose, CT can be used without license/activation. (Activation is only needed for bigger TMs and glossaries.)

Open the TMX file in any text editor capable of reading it as plain text, then perform a find/replace operation that replaces </tu> with something else. The text editor should (if it is worth its salt) inform you of how many replacement it had just made.
