Would you work for this client? Thread poster: Gregory Lassale

For extra and special services ..... | Oct 13, 2018 |
... If a client expects special treatment and unusual services such as reporting every 4 hours, then they should expect to pay a hefty fee for such services. I'd list my premium fees for these extra services and see what they will say. (Obviously they wouldn't go for it).

As far as I know, DT stands for delirium tremens, a hallucinatory state induced by habitual over-indulgence in alcohol. I don't know what else it may mean these days. As for LB, would someone please tell me what it stands for?

Are any of the names on that list worth working for or are the all like LB?
Jorge Barriuso Aguirre wrote: Are any of the names on that list worth working for? Short answer: Yes. They're not all the same. Some are more reputable than others. (That even goes for different parts of LB.) I work regularly for two of the top 30, and occasionally for another three. I have to say that they all have annoying systems, but the two I work with regularly let me work outside those systems for the most part. Probably because they inherited me and I'm awkward.) NB: LB is not actually the agency with the unreasonable demands that kicked off this thread!

Nor in this list: https://www.nimdzi.com/2018-nimdzi-100/ Jorge Barriuso Aguirre wrote: Are any of the names on that list worth working for or are the all like LB? They're all worth trying out. Remember, as we said before, not all PMs or all branches/departments of such large agencies are the same -- many of them are gold. Don't write off an entire agency just because one PM or one branch leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Chris S wrote: I work regularly for two of the top 30, and occasionally for another three. I work for one in the top 10 and one other in the top 20 fairly regularly. They are fine, and so have been several others lower down that list. I have also been approached by a couple in the top three, and the attitude of the people and the list of conditions put me off right from the start. Maybe, as Samuel argues elsewhere in this thread, there are good project managers in the top five companies, but why should I bother trying to find them when I already have enough work from pleasant and professional clients? Regards, Dan

Obviously the agency I dealt with is not in the Top 100. It's large enough to have a dedicated HR dpt, but I never implied it was that big. Actually I have no idea how large it actually is.
