Dear Colleagues, sorry if this problem was already discussed some time ago.

A brief summary:

A very long-term project, done in MemoQ 4.5 - 6.2 over years. Quite a lot of repetitive material.
The Customer sends source files in ttx or Studio packages.

The problem is - there is different number of tags in the seemingly same segments, i.e. 5 tags in the current source text and 3-7 ones (NOT 5) in the respective TM segments. And zounds of 100% matches in t... See more
Dear Colleagues, sorry if this problem was already discussed some time ago.

A very long-term project, done in MemoQ 4.5 - 6.2 over years. Quite a lot of repetitive material.
The Customer sends source files in ttx or Studio packages.

The problem is - there is different number of tags in the seemingly same segments, i.e. 5 tags in the current source text and 3-7 ones (NOT 5) in the respective TM segments. And zounds of 100% matches in terms of text but with different tag count. And sometimes it is more than 10 tags to put in order.

There is a way to simply delete tags one by one and copy the needed ones from source hitting F9, if there were some under 50 such segments. But they are zounds!

So is there any way to select several segments and to tell MemoQ to strip every tag from target? ▲ Collapse

Remove all tags Mar 23, 2013

Menu "Format" - "Remove all tags" or press Ctrl+F8.

To select all segments press Ctrl+Shift+A, to select several segments click the first one in the number area in the left and Shift-click the last.

Thanks very much - I looked for this in the online MemoQ help and got nowhere fast. I typed an appropriate search term in a search engine (not advertising it) and it came up straight away!
