Dear colleagues, Please advise how to restore Trados functionality with MS Word. I use Trados 7.5 and Word 2003. After translating a footnote, Trados toolbar disappeared from Tools > Customize > Toolbars, though TRADOS7.dot was present in "Templates and Add-ins". To restore Trados toolbar, I tried the following: 1. Uninstalled Trados, 2. Uninstalled MS Office, then 3. Installed MS Office, 4. Installed Trados. This did not help. Hi Karen, Try finding your normal.dot file (probably in c:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\\Normal.dot) and deleting it. Word will create a new one. If you have made any special settings in Word and don't want to lose them, you can move the file instead of deleting it, and then import what you need via Tools > Macros > Macro > Organizer. Dear Adam, Thank you. I did as you suggested but it again did not work. Hi Karen, Do you happen to have a Windows CD from which you could reinstall your system? I've had a similar problem recently with TRADOS, and it's gone now that I've performed my yearly Windows reinstallation. Nicolas | |

However, I can activate Trados by running its macro each time I open Word because after closing the document and reopening it Trados macro needs to be run again. However, this partial s...
