Desta forma, quando uma moeda tem lastro os investidores não questionam sua aceitabilidade, pois sabem que seu valor é garantido. 2-) Depósito em ouro que serve de garantia ao papel-moeda. Nas operações do nosso mercado financeiro, lastro são os títulos dados em garantia de uma operação de open market. Garantia de que as cédulas e moedas que circulam na praça têm, de fato, valor.
