1. Every person who has an opportunity to be a government officer in the air force would like to be prosperous and to achieve higher position. A part of the desire of the air force official is to have honor, fame, reputation, and power. They would like to build up their own power. If one has an opportunity to start the work as a commissioned officer, it is an opportunity that opens rooms for progress.
2. There is not only one path to be a government officer in the air force. There are many and various paths but the roles and duties are different. The graph of the positions of government officers is in pyramid shape. The higher the position is, the more there is competition. For the air force, the qualification is specified clearly, especially a minimal qualification that a person needs to have at least, for example a Director of Division must start from the position as pilot, or students in staff college shall be at the age of lower than 40 years old. The aforesaid conditions block an opportunity, i.e. persons who are not entitled to study will not have an opportunity to be a group captain, etc.
3. Regarding the acceptance from the society, in soldier society, the seniority system is strictly adhered to. Regarding personal capability, when the assigned mission is accomplished, the person will be admired and praised, as like the air force that gives a good officer an award every year. However, for some officer who sets his goal and his wish for the progress concerning his position, he might be able to accept the truth. However, he will still work hard in order to be recognized by the army society that he is excellent.
