Bio
While I am a native English (UK) speaker, I have lived in and around the area of Barcelona in Spain since 2002 and so am also fluent in both Spanish and Catalan. Hence, my working languages are Spanish and/or Catalan into English.
I obtained my master's degree in Translation Studies in 2020. Following this I worked for a year as an in-house translator at the translation agency LexiaPark and have been fully freelance since January 2021.
I am used to working with CAT tools such as SDL Trados and CafeTran Espresso, although am more than happy to work directly with Microsoft Word or through other online platforms.
Although my heart lies in literary translation, in my day-to-day I work with a wide range of texts and enjoy the subsequent satisfaction of a job well done.
I also regularly perform transcription, proofreading and some subtitling work.
