My name is Álvaro Antonio da Luz and I'm a freelance translator and interpreter from Curitiba, Brazil with 9 years' experience across a wide range of fields. I also provide proofreading and DTP services. I have previously worked for 6 years as an EFL teacher, pedagogical consultant and school manager.

I have always had a deep curiosity of foreign languages and their cultures. Being an avid reader from early childhood, I left my musical aspirations aside (I also played the piano from early on) to pursue a college degree in English.

Nowadays I balance my careers as a translator/interpreter and as a music and theatre producer in a theatre company in Curitiba.
