English to Spanish: A tale of two cities - Charles Dickens General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES, it was the worst of times, it was the
age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring
of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct
to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way—in short,
the period was so far like the present period, that some of its
noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good
or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only
Translation - English You think today that you were unhappy, but you were similar
He and you.
And me too, I am like you two.
You only decided that you were unhappy, that you had to be and you wanted to believe it.
You wanted to be unhappy because he was far away.
You cannot make him responsible.
Not a reason at all.
It's just an arrangement.
Translation - English It is referred as 'tertiary structure' to the tridimensional disposition of the atoms that conform the protein, concept comparable to the total conformation in other molecules. The tertiary structure of a protein is the direct responsible of its biological properties, because the spacial disposition of its different functional groups determines its interaction with the multiple ligands. For the proteins that conform of only one polypeptide chain (that lack of a quaternary structure), the tertiary structure is the maximum structural information that can be obtained from it.

I am a translator located in Mexico. I have worked as a translator and interpreter since 2013, while studying my main degree, which is in Chemistry. Because of this, I have worked especially in technical translations in all pairs of languages for English, Spanish and French.
My objective right now is to offer professional translation giving my insight as a scientist. That is, I want to translate and localise each text with the proper treatment if it relates to science or technical knowledge. Having said that, literary translations are a personal favorite of mine. Feel free to message me if you are interested in my services, or if you were to have any questions.
