Swedish term

...På några få år...

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Automotive / Cars & Trucks
[division of a car company] står också inför ytterligare en stor utmaning. På några få år ska stora delar av produktsortimentet bytas ut.

Is 'bytas ut' in this context 'phased out' rather than 'exchanged'?

I think I would write be replaced here. "Within just a few years... will be replaced." Or something similar. For me, phasing something out doesn't automatically imply a replacement product, whereas bytas ut does.
Peer comment(s):

agree Thor Truelson : I agree. Exchanged sounds weird, and it looks like something new is coming in to replace the out going stuff.
