I grew up in farm country, and "incorporation" is the term used there for putting a substance (fertilizer, pesticide or herbicide) into the soil instead of merely applying it to the surface. First link is Google results for "fertiliser incorporation"; second is "fertilizer incorporation".

mmm. I thought 'myllning' was 'mush' this word is not usually used after 'fertilizer' judging by a google search. It is used however for plants to differentiate it from other fertilizer forms (liquid, granules etc)
