Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): Mario Freitas, Georgia Morg (X)

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Medals! There are no symbols in the alphabet for Muttley's laughs.
Nick Taylor (asker) Jul 30, 2016:
How does Muttley laugh from Whacky Races?
Mario Freitas Jul 30, 2016:
@ Georgia We use rsrsr in PT as well, however, it's a lower-level laugh, something more discrete, between a smile and a laugh (he he he). Than kkkk is one level up, like lol or ha ha ha.
Georgia Morg (X) Jul 29, 2016:
in Spanish rsrsrsrs very common
Mario Freitas Jul 28, 2016:
@ Nick, It was a very undue move to take off the K, W and Y from the alphabet, actually very stupid indeed. But someone noticed it (better late than never), and corrected that unfortunate mistake. The alphabet is back to normal, as posted by Dani.
Nick Taylor (asker) Jul 28, 2016:
@ Sormane Last time I looked "K" wasnt in the Portuguese alphabet :-)
Mario Freitas Jul 28, 2016:
The Brazilian lol Our version doesn't have a defined number of letters. Some people use "kkk" (at least three), but some people just hold the "k" pressed for a while - kkkkkkkkkkkkkk, someting like LMAO.

kkkk You should have put 4 k's so Robert didn't mess it up with the Klu Klux Klan!
Nick Taylor (asker) Jul 27, 2016:
@Maria OK thanks. It had me a little confused. Maybe it is a sort of "onomatopeia".
Nick Taylor (asker) Jul 27, 2016:
The only reference I can find appears to be some LARPs in "GHOST" costumes in America. Undoubtedly racist.
Maria Meneses Jul 27, 2016:

Yes, well noticed, Sormane. In fact, any user who can see a "Reverse Pair" button under the discussion area can fix that by clicking on it. Thanks for pointing that out!

Thanks, Richard! You're right - in most dictionaries LOL is uppercase. I found the lowercase (lol) only in Cambridge Dictionary: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/lol?a=bri... . Thanks!!

I prefer to call the KKK for what they are.
Racist LARP.

Where else do you see grown men dress up as wizards in the woods, live in a fantasy world and take orders from a dragon?

Since most people won't even realize how right you are, remember that they liked to get dressed up and call themselves things like this:

A Klan Empire (country-wide organization) is run by an Imperial Wizard and his staff of ten Genii. Each Empire is broken up into multiple Realms (state-wide organization), which are ruled by a Grand Dragon assisted by eight Hydras. Each Realm is broken into several Dominions headed by a Great Titan assisted by six Furies, which are broken up themselves into provinces overseen by a Grand Giant and his four Goblins.

Finally we get to the level of a Den, ruled by a Cyclops and his two closest Nighthwaks.

Recruitment is handled by a Grand Cyclops, Grand Magi, and Grand Monk working as a team.

Finally, their judicial branch is headed by the Grand Council of Yahoos.

This is 100% real. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan_titles_and_vocabu...
