Is there a word for placa used in the industry in the following sense:
Gerador recebe "placa" de energia assegurada, que reflete a potência instalada pelo aproveitamento possível pelo regime hidrológico esperado*

Judith, in the industry, generators have a nameplate rating given by the manufacturer, indicating the reliable capacity for proction of power, whether in MW or MWH (over time). In Brazil, through ANEEL, as elsewhere, regulators indicate a rating capability for the units. Please see the attached, as it may be of use. You should be able to tell from teh context of "rating" is the appropriate term to use. As I am very familiar, I will do more digging around if you'd like.

The capacity of generating units shall be measured for purposes of registration as follows:
Renewable resource generating units shall be rated at the nameplate rating;
All other generating units having a nameplate rating of ten MW or less shall be rated at the nameplate rating; and
All other generating units having a nameplate rating greater than ten MW shall be rated at the summer net dependable capability. Self-generation units that are not required to calculate net dependable capability by the reliability council in which they operate or by the independent organization for the power region in which they operate shall be rated at the nameplate rating."
