I had this treatment in Brazil once. It does straighten your hair temporarily and it doesn't last very long. It consists of a blow-dry enhanced by a especial American product called Keretin. It was very expensive in Brazil, but here in the US a keretin bottle for US$10.00 and do it myself.

Não entendi seu comentário, Floriana. No Brasil fiz a aplicacação com Keretin, um produto americano muito seguro sem formol, e o nome é o mesmo.
