Norwegian term
direktelaminat
Norwegian to English
Tech/Engineering
Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
office furniture material
direktelaminat
As far as I can see from comparing the client's English and Norwegian web pages, this is the same as MFC
(Melamine Faced Chipboard).
However, I've had a lot of trouble with Trados and am getting panicky about my deadline! So I haven't got time to check, and can't find it anywhere else.
I would be enormously grateful if anyone could confirm that direktelaminat is MFC, or tell me what it is called if not MFC...
Thanks for any help!

Direct Laminate
This is just a guess, but you can see from the link below that the direct translation seems to be used quite a lot: http://www.google.dk/search?source=ig&hl=da&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENIE...
Note from asker:
Was not terribly convinced by some of these - the expression is often a business name, or there is a comma between 'direct' and 'laminate'. But I can see there is something called direct laminate. @ NO-EN-DE: I was looking for cupboards and shelves, not flooring... |

The client accepted it happily too.
