A nursing diploma from Diakona University College, which unfortunately does not have very helpful translations of its courses. The term appears in a listing of the subjects completed as part of a bachelor in nursing - no indication of what the focus was on. Any bright ideas about how to translate this much appreciated.

focus area course
See the Google search link below for "nursing" + "focus area course". I could easily use "focus course" as well. If I can reach my sister, who is a nursing manager at a university hospital, I'll ask her and come back here ASAP.

Sounds Norlish, but it does score 200,000 G-hits...

: 15 credits of core nursing courses, and at least 6 additional credits in nursing (3 of these in a focus course). ... www.nursing.ubc.ca › UBC School of Nursing

: Equally acceptable as "focus area course", per my sister. Not at all "Norlish." :-)
