German term

Deckenbahn

German to English Tech/Engineering Paper / Paper Manufacturing Module Facer
This term appears in a Technical Information sheet for a module facer from a Swiss manufacturer of laminators. The text deals with a steam conditioner for a "Deckenbahn."

Here is the term in context:

Mit dieser Einrichtung wird die Deckenbahn auf der „Aussenseite“ befeuchtet bzw. auf der Seite, welche danach die Anpresswalze berührt.

My thought is that this refers to the non-corrugated part of the board (as compared to the "Wellenbahn" perhaps). How about "cover board" or something along these lines?

Note from asker:
Thank you, David. A check for 'linerboard' in Merriam-Webster seems to corroborate your suggestion: "Paperboard used as a facing on corrugated or solid fiberboard."
