According to the definition of "arrondieren" on the website below, when talking of a forestry operation, I'd suggest the above. It looks as if they want to say the trees are not scattered over a number of different pieces of land.

Ich interpretiere das so, dass mit "Betrieb" das forest enterprise gemeint ist, das nur fuer Holzeinschlag zustaendig ist, nicht fuer Holzverarbeitung. Von den bisherigen Antworten (Danke!) kommt David's meiner Interpretation am naechsten - ich denke, es soll heissen, dass alle Gebiete, die der "Betrieb" managt, zusammen liegen.
