: except that the formation of a new co. is not necessarily part of each and every rescue solution / Auffang + Rettung seem to be identical here. I agree that an Auffanggesellschaft is a specific vehicle. Auffang on its own seems to be more general, though.

quite right, but I read 'Auffang' as referring to a specific procedure and not as a general term for 'rescue', or are 'Auffang' and 'Rettung' synonyms?/ Fair enough...

I think that "recovery solutions" will do the trick. They are definitely what is being talked about - and if you are not aware of another term in common use for this then there probably isn't one. That is what I wanted to be sure about and my reason for asking the question. There's not much more context - later we have: "[Firma] erstellt ein Restrukturierungskonzept und strukturiert die Auffangl�sung."
