German term

Zellstoff (here)

German to English Tech/Engineering Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng E. coli protein content in SPP-001
Inkubation .....Platte mit Waschpuffer waschen...Nach dem letzten Wachdurchgang die Platte auf Zellstoff ausklopfen, um Restflüssigkeit zu entfernen.

I know that this must be some kind of absorbent paper or mat (cellulose?) but I need someone with specialist knowledge to help me with the exact translation.

Thanks again, Johanna. (If you hadwritten in German I would have replied in German - tha't just how my brain works!) I had to deliver the translation this morning so I went with your first thought - cellulose tissue paper. I just wanted to check this one German word before sending off the translation. Stephen
Dr. Johanna Schmitt Sep 29, 2014:
Cellulose paper is probably okay, too. Maybe you find a term you want to choose in the links I posted, there are several similar ones :-).
Stephen Old (asker) Sep 29, 2014:
