German term

überproportional beteiligt

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
This is a slightly reworded sentence from a test I'm taking for a translation agency. If you don't think people should be asking terminology questions from tests, please move on to the next KudoZ question.

Growth in the chipboard sector will be higher than average with 7.5%

would be may way to work arroun "überproportional"; I wouldn't hesitate to forget about "beteiligt" all together; but an alternative could be:
"A larger than average part of this growth is taken up by the chipboard sector with 7.5% growth".

Greetings,

Nikolaus

the growth of chip boards at 7.5% will be above (industrial) average

a simple version which I prefer over
"overproportionate". Hope you can use some of this "wisdom".
