Social Sciences
Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
These categories arose partially out of the data students provided, as we asked for images that reflected on their own subjectivity. We felt these categories had a certain "face validity" as students most often meet or read about sociologists that are working. We defined "deviant" images as behaviors or appearances that transgress the boundaries of professional academic demeanor and defined the general images by negation, since they were neither deviant nor working, but still had identifiable human forms.
