Systems for matching mentors and mentees currently exist in on-campus programs, manual matching programs. However, these programs do not provide facilitation, or based on manual mentoring which is not innovative at all. These programs also neither allow for bi-directional matching, nor use the profiles to match preferences of both the mentors and mentees. Besides, programs where mentees are required to choose mentors themselves are not adequate as they need some assistance who to choose. Most person-to-person matching systems are uni-directional. For example, one group of people provide descriptions of themselves. Then, a person seeking to match with one or more of the people in the group provides one or more preferences as well, and the system provides a match of the preferences with a closest description. It is desired to have a more flexible matching system that works in a bidirectional manner to match mentors and mentees based on demographics, preferences and personal information of each of the potential mentors and the mentees. With this way, the output can become more efficient.
