I suspect there is no corresponding concept in English, and that the notion of refoulement is simply overcome by the terminology used in English. While French has porte sectionnelle à refoulement au plafond and porte sectionnelle à refoulement latéral , we have 'overhead sectional door' and 'side-(opening) sectional door'.

La porte sectionnelle à refoulement au plafond est composée de sections horizontales adaptées à la hauteur d'ouverture.La porte est actionnée au moyen de galets de roulement tandem et de galets de guidage vers le haut ou vers le bas dans les rails de guidage du dormant latéral . Of course this begs the question "What is meant by refoulement horizontal?" Do they mean the door is horizontal in the overhead position, or does it move horizontally to a lateral position?

Either way, I can think of nothing better than 'for (horizontal) parking'.
