Example: program drug is withdrawn from the vial(s) at 04:00 and kept at room temperature, therefore the infusion must be completed by 08:00.
The 4-hour clock begins after the rubber-stopper of the vial has been punctured, as there is no preservative in the solution, and it cannot be guaranteed as sterile after 4 hours.
If RZ358 is left at room temperature to equilibrate, but the vials have not been punctured, this does not count toward the 4-hour limit.
Protect the drug solution from direct light.
However, no sleeve, opaque bag, or amber IV tubing is needed during drug preparation or administration.
Step 4:
Using aseptic technique and following your hospital or clinic pharmacy procedures, follow instructions for program drug preparation.
Please Note:
After the first 1mL is withdrawn from the vial, the same syringe may be used to withdraw the rest of the required volume from the next vial(s) as applicable for a given dose, provided the needle is changed between vials to avoid dulling and breakage of needle.

The patient-specific dose of program drug must be prepared to the exact dose and volume.
No overfill of program drug will be used *to account for infusion set or catheter dead space volume*.
Calculate patient specific doses, rounding to the nearest 0.1mL.
