Military / Defense
Hello. This appears in a list of work that military personnel might be required to perform as part of their military service.
The translation "fatigue duties" has been suggested to me, but I'm not sure if this is an outdated term now.
Does anyone know what we would call this nowadays?
Many thanks.

The preferred one of these depends on the military unit in question.

I think "fatigue duty" may be a bit too broad, in most instances.

Note from asker:
Hi. Yes, I can't work out whether the Russian refers to day-to-day chores/housekeeping, or to a specific type of labour. In that case, what would the Russian be for "fatigue duty"? |

Field labour
This term works particularly well if the sentence mentions where the work is done: soviet industry or a collective farm.
