Kraftflussführung

German to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks transmissions, planetary gear sets
I have encountered several possibilities for this but I am not sure which is the best one when talking about transmissions in motor vehicles. Here's the context, which is from a patent:
Dabei umfassen die Planetenradsätze jeweils mehrere Elemente und dienen dem Führen eines Kraftflusses vom Getriebeeingang zum Getriebeausgang. Ferner sind sechs Schaltelemente vorgesehen, durch deren selektive Betätigung unterschiedliche Kraftflussführungen über die Planetenradsätze unter Schaltung unterschiedlicher Gänge zwischen Getriebeeingang und Getriebeausgang darstellbar sind.

Thanks in advance to any automotive experts for suggestions.

Where the concept of 'Fuehrung' has already been accommodated for in sentence one and is no longer necessary at all.

Since the principle behind the term sought is already qualified in the preceding sentence with "und dienen dem Führen eines Kraftflusses", the outcome you settle for will depend largely, if not entirely, on how that preceding sentence ends up being translated.

I've already used "gear sets" for "Radsaetze", and the English language title uses "transmission" for "Getriebe". So does the abstract, although I realize that an abstract has no legal standing. In my opinion, automotive terminology is indeed very vague and there are a lot of choices in many cases... no wonder mechanics charge a fortune to fix cars LOL!

But ... ... why don't you use "gear(s)" or "gearset(s)" for "Getriebe"? "Transmission" is indeed ambiguous because it can refer to either the process of transmitting power or to the gear(set) as such. Note that I'm not an automotive expert either, but the evidence I've found for "power flow" seems to be compelling.

I am trying to avoid transmission for this term for clarity's sake, since the text is about Getriebe (i.e., transmissions). I also thought of power flow but wanted to see what automotive experts (which I admittedly am not) might think.

Also, since this feature is listed as "selective" in your example, you might perhaps simplify even further with:

"power outlet/outflow options"

Indeed, but as mentioned in the discussion section, the choice can only reasonably be made on conclusion of sentence one.

The planetary gear box consists of many elements and directs power flow from gear input to gear output.There are are six switching elements provided, through which selective engaging for different power flow transfer (or different torques) over planetary gearbox(is possible). (It can be) represented by connecting different points between gear input and gear output.
