Print Registration Control (PRC) system

Print mark scanner[1]
The print mark control system designed to halt specially printed lidding foils in a fixed position relative to the formed web and blister cavities during production process.
[1]Print registration mark is provided on the aluminium foil between each adjacent blisters.
Print mark scanner (1) senses these marks while the aluminium foil travels to the sealing roller.
This position is matched with the cam (2) provided on the web indexing shaft.

[1]PRC needs special sealing roller with slots (1) on the roller (2).
The folding roller [1](3) with a folding blade rotates in synchronization with sealing roller.
The folding roller is normally out of the slot of sealing roller.
Whenever the pre-printed matter lags behind with respect to formed cavities, the blade enters into the slots of sealing roller and pulls the additional lidding foil.
The additionally pulled aluminum foil goes into the fold.
The folding continued till original position of the pre-printed matter is restored.
The fold position adjusted in the gap between the two blisters.
Sealing roller and cam is a change part.
Print mark should be Dark black or red, No other color should appear on the Print mark.
[1]No dark area is acceptable in the path of Print mark.
Otherwise during running, the foil Senses non required matter, which then activates scanner and folding roller.
Color of printed matter should be dry otherwise it gets removed during the folding.
[1]Core diameter, should be correct; no damage is acceptable.
During running, the foil vibrates and sensor gets disturbed.
Check the print mark pitch as per drawing given by ACG Pampac.

Start the sealing without PRC, if print mark going backward (Sealing roller side) then foil is OK.
If mark is going forward then PRC foil pitch not correct.
