Discussion

Lota Oct 13, 2016:
Outliers I meant precisely that. Head cheese is not a common food actoss the US. Blood head cheese an even greater rarity. Totally an outlier. The Asker specified the white kind so this discussion is moot.

ale częściej go zwą "dark", właśnie dla tubylców ")

Lota Oct 13, 2016:
Really? I have never seen "blood head cheese" name Americans don't take well to such graphic names. Blood sausage (kaszanka) is unpopular among Americans whose roots are not in Central Europe or Argentina. The English name is a big turn-off in my opinion.
geopiet Oct 13, 2016:
czarny salceson blood head cheese
asia20002 (asker) Oct 13, 2016:
Ten będzie biały.
Lota Oct 13, 2016:
W USA KAŻDY salceson to head cheese. Biały, czarny niemiecki, holenderski. To wszystko head cheese.
legato Oct 13, 2016:

W Polsce mamy jeszcze tzw. "czarny salceson", więc trzeba się upewnić, o który tu chodzi.
Lota Oct 13, 2016:
Head cheese to salceson, nie biały salceson. W USA head cheese to salceson i tyle.

legato Oct 13, 2016:
"Head cheese" to biały salceson!
asia20002 (asker) Oct 13, 2016:
Ok, thank you for help.
Lota Oct 13, 2016:
Then British English name only. I agree it is probably for labels.
asia20002 (asker) Oct 13, 2016:
I would prefer to avoid adding additional explanation in brackets because it is probably for labels.
Lota Oct 13, 2016:
OK Brawn then for BrEn but the consideration of adding Polish remains czyli:
Give the name in EN, add PL in brackets if you wish.
asia20002 (asker) Oct 13, 2016:
I thought about Country-Style Brawn
Brawn is BrE and head cheese AmE

Country style head cheese

Unfortunately, salceson has an English name.. i would leave the Polush name in brackets if you like.
I say "unfortunately" because the term is awful. This is no cheese, after all.

Also, salceson is not particularly Polish. The Polish name may confuse a customer. The Polish name serives from "saucisson" which does not mean salceson.

agree Frank Szmulowicz, Ph. D. : A nice culinary discourse. There are also sweetmeats that have no meat.
