post-painting activity
This is a text about a production line process (vehicle parts):
les pièces peintes seront de retour de la peinture afin d'être vérifiées, coquillées ou préassemblées pour le transfert aux lignes d'assemblage
What I have so far:
The painted parts come back from the paint line for inspection, XXXX, or pre-assembly, before being transferred to the assembly lines.
I have found '' chilled'' in the GDT for ''coquiller'', but that seems to be a term used in metallurgy, and this is not my context.
Thank you for any assistance.

A common way of protecting, storing and transporting parts consists in using plastic shells, a few manufacturers and examples:

Comment: "Thanks, Didier. I finally heard from the client and your answer was right. In fact, they were referring specifically to mufflers. I was misled by the fact that the previous paragraph discussed mufflers AND other parts, and then this paragraph refers only to the generic term 'parts'. Now, in googling 'silencieux' and 'coquille', I find that the term 'muffler shell' does indeed exist. "

Maybe set instead of chilled?
Or moulded?

In response to the asker, yes and no, I suppose if we're talking about a car, it gets painted after the pieces have been moulded, but in this case set (as in assembled) could fit?

Note from asker:
Thank you for the answer. Is it logical that moulding would occur after painting? |
