Czech term

anamnesticky

Czech to English Medical Medical (general)
Anamnesticky gastrointestinální krvácení nebo perforace ve vztahu k předchozí léčbě nesteroidními antirevmatiky.

I'm not sure how to translate the adverb 'anamnesticky' here.

Thanks. The words could be arranged in various ways, but I'm in favour of "history".
Gerry Vickers Jan 27, 2011:
Whilst 'anamnesis' and yes, even 'anamnestically', both indeed exist, in the UK at least medical language tends to be plain and does not use terminology that has Latin/Greek roots (otherwise patients might think they are trying to hide something if they ever chance to read their medical notes :) ). Therefore terms such as dyspnoea or oedema for example are usually referred to as 'shortness of breath' or 'swelling' respectively. Also names of arteries/veins or diseases are hardly ever referred to in Latin. I believe this might be different in India or the USA, though. An Italian doctor friend of mine was amazed that such terms are alien to most of his colleagues, except to those who trained in India ...
