Source text - English “There was a time when a catheter patient’s daily life was filled with difficulties. Each time a normal PVC catheter is inserted, a sticky, messy gel has to be applied to the catheter’s surface to protect the urethra. However, it is easy to rub off this gel, which often leads to painful friction and trauma that can result in infections and contractions.”
“We looked at the problem—that the gel was rubbed off and made life difficult for the user—from all angles. We suspected that the solution was in a material that did not require manual lubrication. Therefore, we searched for just such a material that did not lose its smooth and slippery attributes during insertion, during the time that the catheter was used, and when the user removed the catheter. The requirement was for minimal friction without the use of a gel. It took years for us to come up with a solution…”
Translation - Spanish “Había una época en la que la vida cotidiana de un paciente sondado estaba llena de dificultades. Cada vez que se inserta una sonda normal de PVC hay que aplicar un gel pegajoso y pringoso a la superficie de la sonda para proteger la uretra. Sin embargo, es fácil que el gel se vaya con el roce, lo cual suele causar una dolorosa fricción y un trauma que pueden resultar en infecciones y contracciones”.

Source text - English This is the core one of the stories often told to tourists about the origins of Benidorm - that spacemen decided to set up house in a fissure on the coast to use as a base. Nowadays the opposite is true as Benidorm is reaching for the sky with its continual growth in the sector of tourism in many fields. The previous attraction of the 1950’s/60’s of cheapie, cheapie holidays has given way to a search for offering better quality services and attractions. This can be seen right across the spectrum, restaurant menus, entertainment, more congresses with up-market facilities, and, of course, hotels of higher categories plus many others that have renovated their image to offer ever more discerning clients what they are looking for. In Benidorm there is no room for boredom.
In the field of gastronomy Benidorm has much to offer, from the basic bacon, egg and chips of some bars to the modern high cuisine of professional chefs in many national and international restaurants. What began as a small fishing village has developed into a town able to cater for holidaymakers basking in the sun, businessmen from around the world attending conventions, all of them able to taste some of the splendour of this part of the Mediterranean and its rich gastronomy.
The present political climate has affected the tourist industry throughout the world and Benidorm has responded to the challenge of a shrinking market as people look for quality with ever better services and alternatives to the beach; although for many people this is all they want to do - just forget their normal daily chores and completely
relax in the sun. The sun is still one of the main attractions of Benidorm which has a lovely climate and sits in a sheltered position on the Spanish mainland, with its beautiful beaches (one of the attractions of the original spacemen).
With the ongoing search by man to discover new worlds, perhaps in the future we really will see some space men flying in to enjoy the quality vacations that Benidorm has to offer!
Translation - Spanish Este es el núcleo de una de las historias que a menudo se le cuentan a los turistas sobre los orígenes de Benidorm – que unos astronautas decidieron establecerse en una hendidura en la costa para usarla como base. Hoy en día es justo al revés, ya que Benidorm está llegando al cielo con su continuo crecimiento en el sector turístico en muchos campos. El antiguo atractivo de los años 50 y 60, de vacaciones “baratitas, baratitas”, ha dado paso a una búsqueda por ofrecer servicios y atracciones de mejor calidad. Esto puede verse en todo el abanico: menús de restaurante, entretenimiento, más congresos con instalaciones de calidad, y, por supuesto, hoteles de mayor categoría además de muchos otros que han renovado su imagen para satisfacer las necesidades de incluso los clientes más exigentes. Lo que empezó como un pequeño pueblo pesquero se ha desarrollado hasta convertirse en una ciudad capaz de ofrecer servicios a la gente, desde veraneantes que se tuestan bajo el sol hasta hombres de negocios de todo el mundo que asisten a convenciones, y todos pueden saborear algo del esplendor de esta parte del Mediterráneo y su rica gastronomía. El clima político actual ha afectado a la industria del turismo en todo el mundo y Benidorm ha respondido al desafío de un mercado que va encogiendo a medida que la gente busca calidad con aún mejores servicios y alternativas a la playa; aunque para muchos, esto es todo lo que desean hacer – simplemente olvidar sus tareas cotidianas habituales y relajarse completamente bajo el sol. El sol sigue siendo una de las principales atracciones de Benidorm, que tiene un clima adorable y se encuentra en una posición resguardada en la península Ibérica, con sus hermosas playas (uno de los atractivos para los primeros astronautas). Con la continua búsqueda del hombre por descubrir nuevos mundos, ¡tal vez en el futuro verdaderamente veamos a astronautas viniendo con sus naves para disfrutar de las vacaciones de calidad que ofrece Benidorm!

Det var det enda synliga resultatet av dagen på vattnet utanför Valencia.
En bärnstensfisk.
Fångad av Victory Challenges navigatör Simon Fisher från väderbåten under väntan på en bris som aldrig infann sig.
Starten för utmanarserien Louis Vuitton Cup försenas ytterligare. De två första dagarna har inga seglingar kunnat genomföras.
Idag skulle Victory Challenge ha seglat mot China Team och BMW Oracle Racing. Men vädermönstret från igår upprepade sig. Det blev aldrig mer än fyra knops vind, cirka två sekundmeter, och det var därmed omöjligt för tävlingsledningen att starta Louis Vuitton Cup även denna andra dag.
För besättningen ombord på Järv (SWE 96) bestod dagen av väntan. Simon Fisher, navigatör, som tillsammans med Neal McDonald, travare och Oscar Angervall, backstagstrimmare/travare befann sig på Victory Challenges väderbåt, fördrev tiden med ett kastspö.
Han fick napp och poserade med bärnstensfisken när han återkom till basen.
Den heter Seriola dumerili på latin och tillagas gärna med vitlök, lök och lite olja i stekpannan. Eller med lök som fått stå och dra i vinäger några minuter.

El comienzo de la serie de desafiantes de la Louis Vuitton Cup se vuelve a retrasar. Los dos primeros días no se ha podido navegar.
Hoy el Victory Challenge se tenía que haber enfrentado contra el China Team y el BMW Oracle Racing. Pero se repitió el tiempo de ayer. No llegó a hacer más de cuatro nudos de viento, aproximadamente dos metros por segundo, y por lo tanto al comité de regatas le resultó imposible dar comienzo a la Louis Vuitton Cup, también en este segundo día.
Para la tripulación a bordo del Järv (SWE 96) fue un día dedicado a esperar. Simon Fisher, navegante, quien junto con Neal McDonald, carro, y Oscar Angervall, trimmer de burda/carro se encontraba a bordo del barco meteorológico del Victory Challenge, estuvo matando el tiempo con una caña de pescar.
Picaron, y luego él posó con esta serviola al regresar a la base.
Se llama Seriola dumerili en latín y queda bien a la plancha con ajo, cebolla y algo de aceite. O con cebolla que haya macerado en vinagre algunos minutos.

LEPROSY, that is, the leprosy of which we read so much in the Scriptures, is, I believe, a disease almost, if not wholly, unknown in modern times. There is, indeed, a malady that bears the same name, and is of a very loathsome and fearful nature; but its symptoms and character are, I understand, widely different from the leprosy described in the Old Testament. This circumstance would seem to stamp upon it something peculiar, and to distinguish it from an ordinary disease.
Leprosy, however, was not only a real disease, but also a typical one; in other words, figurative in the most striking manner of that fearful malady; sin, with which we are infected from the sole of the foot even to the head. That the leprosy was a typical disease is evident from several circumstances.
1. That the ceremonial purifications whereby the stain of leprosy was cleansed had all a special reference (as I hope to show, if we are spared to meet this evening) to the Lord Jesus Christ, as making an atonement for sin.
2. That the high priest was the person specially appointed to take cognisance of it; that it was not put into the hands of ordinary physicians, but was placed under the particular supervision of God’s anointed servant and Messiah’s representative.
3. That there was for it no appointed cure; it being in itself of an incurable nature, and therefore, if cured, cured only by special miracle.
4. We find it miraculously inflicted as a punishment, as upon Miriam, Gehazi and King Uzziah.
These four circumstances take it out of the catalogue of ordinary diseases, and stamp upon it a peculiar and typical character.

LA LEPRA, esto es, la lepra de la que leemos tanto en las Escrituras, es, creo, una enfermedad casi, si no enteramente, desconocida en tiempos modernos. Hay, ciertamente, una enfermedad que lleva el mismo nombre, y es de una naturaleza muy repugnante y temible; pero sus síntomas y carácter son, por lo que sé, muy diferentes de la lepra descrita en el Antiguo Testamento. Podría parecer que esta circunstancia estampa en ella algo peculiar, y la distingue de las enfermedades ordinarias.
La lepra, sin embargo, no era solamente una enfermedad real, sino también una típica: en otras palabras, un símil sumamente llamativo de esa temible enfermedad; el pecado, con el cual estamos infectados desde la planta del pie hasta la cabeza misma. Que la lepra era una enfermedad típica es evidente por varias circunstancias.
1. Que las purificaciones ceremoniales con las que se limpiaba la lepra tenían todas una referencia especial (como espero mostrar, si se nos permite encontrarnos esta tarde) al Señor Jesucristo, con su expiación del pecado.
2. Que el sumo sacerdote era la persona especialmente nombrada para tenerla en cuenta; que no era puesta en manos de médicos ordinarios, sino colocada bajo la supervisión especial del siervo ungido de Dios y representante del Mesías.
3. Que no había una cura establecida para ella; siendo en sí misma de naturaleza incurable, y por tanto, si era curada, solo se curaba por un milagro especial.
4. La encontramos inflingida milagrosamente como castigo, como sucedió a Miriam, Giezi, y el Rey Uzías.
Estas cuatro circunstancias la sacan del catálogo de las enfermedades ordinarias, y le imprimen un carácter peculiar y típico.

To switch the TV on
Your TV will switch on in two steps:
1- Press the power button located on the front of the TV. Then the TV switches itself to standby mode and the LED located below becomes RED.
2- To switch on the TV from stand-by mode either:
Press a digit button on the remote control so that a programme number is selected,
or,
Press Programme Up or Down buttons on the right side of the TV or on the remote control, so that last switched off programme is selected.
By either ways the TV will switch on and the LED will turn off.
To switch the TV off
• Press the stand-by button on the remote control, so the TV will switch to stand-by mode and the LED will become RED,
or,
Press the power button located on the front of the TV, so the TV will switch off.

Para encender la TV
Su TV se puede encender de dos maneras:

Source text - Swedish Efter folkmordet i Rwanda satt över 100 000 personer i fängelse i väntan på rättegång, för att de deltagit i det. Trots att FN upprättade Internationella brottsmålsdomstolen för Rwanda i Arusha, Tanzania och att man i Rwanda upprättade flera domstolar som enbart skulle ta hand om folkmordet, insåg man att det skulle ta alldeles för lång tid att ställa alla inför rätta - nästan hundra år!
2001 beslutade man därför att införa ”bydomstolar”, som heter Gacaca. Ordet Gacaca betyder ungefär ”att sitta på gräs”. Förr innebar det att man satt ner tillsammans i byarna och försökte lösa enklare tvister tillsammans. 250 000 personer utbildades till att bli domare i de nya bydomstolarna. I Rwanda finns det idag ungefär 11 000 Gacaca-domstolar, som har flera syften. Ett är att förhöra och döma människor som deltog i folkmordet, ett annat är att lyssna på offrens berättelser. Man hoppas också att offren och de som begick brotten på något sätt ska kunna mötas och förlåta.
Translation - Spanish Después del genocidio en Ruanda, más de 100.000 personas fueron encarceladas a la espera de un juicio, porque habían participado en él. A pesar de que la ONU estableció el Tribunal Penal Internacional para Ruanda en Arusha, Tanzania, y que se establecieron varios tribunales en Ruanda para ocuparse exclusivamente del genocidio, se consideró que se tardaría demasiado en juzgar a todos - ¡casi cien años!
Por eso se decidió en 2001 que se introducirían los “tribunales populares” llamados Gacaca. La palabra Gacaca significa aproximadamente “estar sentado sobre la hierba”. Antes implicaba que la gente se juntaba en los pueblos e intentaban resolver juntos las disputas más sencillas. 250.000 personas recibieron formación para convertirse en jueces de los nuevos tribunales populares. En Ruanda hay unos 11.000 tribunales Gacaca hoy en día, los cuales tienen varios propósitos. Uno es interrogar y castigar a la gente que participó en el genocidio, otro es escuchar los relatos de las víctimas. Se espera también que las víctimas y los que llevaron a cabo los crímenes de algún modo puedan encontrarse y perdonarse.
