Has anyone any recommendations regarding the following two?

The contact one has more words (260,000) than Morton Benson but are there any other ones out there?

Take a look at this recension: http://www.pctv.co.yu/software/yurecnik_11.htm.

The same thing, but downloadable from: http://www.inter.co.yu/soft10.html For Windows, although there should be the versions for Linux and Mac OS X.

To a certain extent, it might serve as interface to Benson's. if one uses it. Otherwise, it is a freeware.

You might try it, and inform.

Thanks for the links, the first one is corrupt though.

I was rather naively hoping there might be s'th similar to the Lingvo software I use for Russian/Ukrainian which is really really good. Amazing number of dictionaries in one piece of software...

In Serbia, now I reccolect my ideas, there are quite a few CD editions of EN-SR dictionaries, and in other lang. pairs. Quite a cute number of them.
Last year I did some shopping in Zemun, (Belgrade), in a very pleasant specialized shop “Paradiz agencija" http://www.paradiz.co.yu/, with a brilliant project. I bought several CD Roms of dictionaries, and they all finished as gifts to my friends, since I mostly manage paper editions.

You collegaues, give a look on their web site, in order to understand better what the market is, and why not, do make some shopping, in order to encouurage the development of electronic dictionaries. Otherwise, no progress. D.

Juče sam na Sajmu knjiga u Beogradu videla i elektronsko izdanje en-sr/sr-en. (dvosmernog) rečnika ( http://www.isj.co.yu/izdavacka/izdavackaRecniciESSE.htm ), izdanje Instituta za strane jezike u Jovanovoj ul. Postoji verzija na CD-u, internet, kao i serverska verzija:

a moguće je i petnaestodnevno probno korišćanje.

Inače, mislim da je ovo možda trenutno najbolji en-sr/sr-en. rečnik, a nije ni skup.

Takođe, podsećam sve iz Beograda i okoline da je 52. MEĐUNARODNI BEOGRADSKI SAJAM KNJIGA ( http://www.beogradskisajamknjiga.com/ ) otvoren još samo danas i sutra - kao i uvek, ima puno toga i da se vidi, a i da se kupi.

Nadam se da ste se lepo proveli na sajmu, za nas koji nismo mogli da odemo uvjek je dobro cuti sta se tamo prodaje za prevodioce.

Taj recnik stvarno ne izgleda los, verovatno cu ga kupiti za takvu cenu.
