See more Hello, did anyone try RapidTranslation? I just found their website (http://www.rapidtranslation.net/) and am curious to know if anyone has experience with that program. Here's (a bit abridged) what they say about themselves: RapidTranslation 4.0 is particularly interesting for critical applications where it is unfeasible to simply stop and restart the application to change language the conventional way... Localization agencies will profit from RapidTranslation's RapidSwitching-technology through faster and improved translation of applications. For the translator, it is possible to see translations or changes immediately without closing and restarting the application. Also, dialog boxes can be translated and resized to fit the localized text with no effort using the WYSIWYG-dialog-editor... Their web site is a blank screen [OP6.06]. I even reloaded with images enabled, but no luck. Blank white screen. The soruce does contain some heavy JavaScript and DHTML, but very little content itself as far as I could see. If their web design skills are any indication of their product, I'd walk the other way. | | | Charlotte Blank Germany Local time: 13:55 Czech to German + ... TOPIC STARTER

I have Mozilla - which is by no means a very frequently used browser compared with IE- and it is working without problems. I just tried with IE and everything's fine as well. But you are right, I would not take a product from a company either who's website is not visible with my browser. | | | firewall settings may interfere with site display | Feb 5, 2004 |

If you use a firewall, the settings (like blocking javascripts) may interfere with some sites display. I can see it fine with IE. Just a thought. Roberta | |

You use plenty products who don't even have a web site. It's really a matter of trying the product and seeing if it does the job. If it does, I really would have no qualms using it. I agree a bad web site, or a bad connexion is not a good sign, but if the product is fine, hey, you can even display pink elephant on the page, I won't mind. | | | chance (X) French to Chinese + ... Hi, I´m from RapidSolution in Germany: You´ll find "switch language" on the topbar of the program window using the mouse. But I´m sure you found out in the meantime. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Did anyone try localization tool RapidTranslation?
