How to quote DTP projects?

Could someone give me some advice on the rate for DTP? ***USD per page? or ***USD per source word?

Is it only DTP, or translation + DTP.

Assuming DTP only, it can vary with the client. Some clients prefer hourly rate. Others agree to pay on page count.

Page count is preferable ove the hourly rate. It is more fair and objective.

It's more interesting for your customer to pay by hour.
My rates for DTP project it's 30 $ for an hour, and I have 11 years experience.

I am the Owner of translation agency. It happen that I came across this subject just today. I wonder how the customer will know how many pages you can format per hour? I think that it is more fair to charge per page, however I have no idea what will be reasonable [moderate] fee per page that we can charge to our customers. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
